Third Brew of Old Cardinal Released
We have just released the third brew of Old Cardinal Abbey Ale. Old Cardinal has proven very popular. We only intended on one brew for the entire winter.
In January, we installed two taps at Gatsby's Restaurant on Spring Garden Road. Gatsby's is selling Peculiar and Ringwood.
We also are selling Ringwood at MacAskill's Waterfront Restaurant.
Old Cardinal Ale now for Sale
On December 23, at a special Halifax Farmers' Market the Granite Brewery released our newest ale. Old Cardinal is a Trappist inspired Belgian beer. It is brewed with 2 row and roasted barley and sweetend with Nova Scotian honey. Golding hops were used for aroma and Hallertauer hops for bittering. Naturally, our Ringwood yeast was used during the fermentation. The original gravity is 1068 and the alcohol by volume is 6.8 per cent.
Old Cardinal will be for sale at the beer store in our 2 Litre growlers. You will also be able to find it on draught at the Lion's Head Tavern.
